Street Workout Stations

Satara Runners Foundation is working on the Open / Street Workout Project. The aim is to set up such easily accessible fitness stations for athletes as well as general public, free of cost – in & around the city, as well as other rural areas in Satara district.

Col. Santosh Mahadik Memorial Street Workout Station

Located in the Shahu Stadium Satara, this is the largest open air street workout station of its kind in India. It was inaugurated on 15th January 2016. Entry is free and it has rapidly become a popular place for sportsmen and people of all ages to come together and exercise throughout the day.

There is always a huge crowd, sweating it out on any given day, especially in the mornings and evenings.
Developed by Satara Runners Foundation with the generous help and cooperation of District Sports Department, Satara.

Street Workout Station in Mandhardev

Mandhardeo, situated at a height of 4500 feet above sea level, is a popular pilgrimage destination in Wai taluka of Satara.

Satara Runners Foundation has sponsored and developed this “Open Gym” under it’s DRDP initiative, to help him train his athletes better.

A small contribution to a BIG cause.

The inauguration was done on 8th June 2018, at the hands of Satara ZP CEO Dr Kailash Shinde, who is an accomplished runner and veteran marathoner himself.
